GOOD FOOD

The goal in our own kitchens or in a food establishment is good food.

Sometimes the corollaries are: affordable food, on-the-go food, or exotic food, but everything still boils down to.... good food. (For us at the Sanctuary, our vision of good food is compassionate and free of animal based products as well)

We have embraced this journey of purchasing and re-opening the recently closed Nirvana Tea House and Cafe in Millis MA. We hope to re-open in the next 30 days!

Yesterday, another impactful plant-based food space announced their closing in two weeks on February 8. Plant City in Providence Ri will close, but maintain their Warwick RI and Barrington RI locations. This is not a simple time to operate any food establishment (no matter the philosophy or cuisine). We know this, respect this, and will be running Nirvana wisely and attentively.

When Nirvana reopens as a cafe owned by Unity Farm Sanctuary, we plan to have a traditional point-of-sale check-out experience where you can tip your servers and team. The Sanctuary has committed to its Board of Directors that Nirvana will break-even.

As a community benefit each month, we will offer a separate 'donation teapot' with a QR code for direct donations to another local non-profit such as: Millis Food Pantry, Safe Coalition, Forever Home Rescue New England, Franklin Food Pantry, Guardian Angels Cats, Medfield Animal Shelter, Charles River Watershed Association, Horse Sensibility, Franklin LGBTQ Alliance, Food not Bombs, Stray Pets in Need, BARCC, A Place to Turn, Return2Wild, Project Bread and so many more. We will rotate this every month, and our guests can easily choose to support those who support our community.

Looking forward to Good Food and community.
