About

Are you a high schooler with a passion for animals?

Join us for this exciting new program exploring current animal welfare topics! With the help of Unity's animal residents, we will learn about issues such as using animals for food, fur, fibers, and feathers; for medical, cosmetic, and industrial testing; and for work and entertainment. Our goal is to educate young people and empower them to make more compassionate and ethical decisions, while learning how to advocate effectively for animals everywhere! Successful completion will prepare students to take part in future conversations in animal welfare at the sanctuary. The program is overseen by Unity’s Humane Education Director, Marla Andrews, who can be contacted with any questions at education@unityfarmsanctuary.org.

We will meet outdoors or in the carriage shed if it's raining. Masks must be worn at all times, as well as: closed-toe shoes, work boots, or rubber boots; long pants; and raincoats if bad weather. After registering, we will send more information and a work/Covid waiver form.

Dates: Tuesdays, October 6th, 13th, 20th (rain or shine!)

Time: 3:45-5:15pm

Cost: $50.00 total for the three sessions.*

Spaces are limited!

*For those needing financial assistance, please email us at education@unityfarmsanctuary.org to find out more about full and partial scholarships.

Please note, after registration is confirmed, there are no refunds.
